NEWS, TIPS & GUIDES FROM AROUND THE BENCH

June 2022 | Issue #2

We have made it to the second issue of the Arieno Dental Lab Newsletter!

There are lots of changes happening at Arieno Dental, we are excited to be rolling out with our Office Portal this month; this Portal allows offices to check on the status of their cases, pay statements online, order new RX cases digitally, request case pick-ups, and so much more.

We are actively improving many of our work processes and creating ways to share information in a clear, timely manner. We hope these updates prove valuable, please keep a look out for your Portal Invitation Email, and as always let us know if you have any questions or concerns about anything you read.

  • Arieno is proud to host the Dental Assisting Class of WEMOCO for a tour of the lab this month

Lab Closing

Arieno Dental Lab will be closed for the week of July 4th - July 8th, 2022.

In an effort to minimize any inconvenience, and to accommodate for this closing, our driver will be picking up cases during the morning of July 7th. To take advantage of this pick up, please call the office and leave a voicemail.

Please allow an additional week of lab time on cases received on or after June 10th for implant cases, and on or after June 17th for all other cases.

We truly value your business and will do our best to work with you on rush cases, please call the office with any questions concerns.

Tips from the Lab

These tips come from Skylar (Shipping & Receiving Rep & Soft Tissue Technician):

TIP: Please do not disinfect impressions or bites before sending to Arieno. Simply rinse the impressions and/or bites with cold water, and immediately place in a bio-hazard bag.

Reason: Arieno disinfects all impressions and bites we receive in house and the products we use could possibly have an adverse reaction with the products your office uses.

TIP: To secure the Arieno boxes for your cases, please use a rubber band, and not tape. If you need to write anything on the box, please use a sticky note.

Reason: Arieno is proud to help reduce waste where we can, by reusing the boxes we send to you. Tape and marks on the boxes shorten the lifespan of the box, where as rubber bands and sticky notes can be removed, keeping the box looking clean and bright.

Wemoco Career Fair

Connecting to the Community

Friday, May 18th, Arieno Dental Laboratory attended the Wemoco Career Fair in Spencerport NY and spoke with students interested in learning about what it's like working at a dental lab.

Mrs. Probst's Dental Assisting students were especially interested in learning about the lab, and heard first hand from an ex-student that graduated from the Wemoco program herself. Skylar (shown below) works part-time at Arieno as our Shipping & Receiving Rep and Soft Tissue Technician, she is actively trying to be accepted in to the Dental Hygiene program at MCC. We are very lucky to have Skylar with us at the lab, she is extremely knowledgeable, and keeps a keen eye on everything coming in and going out of the lab.

We very much enjoyed speaking with the students; we've scheduled a walk through of the lab this month for the class, and we hope to find a student excited to learn a bit about lab life as an intern this upcoming fall!
