Tips from the Lab

TIP: Did you know you can mark your margins with digital files using TRIOS?

After scanning the patients tooth/teeth, you can place the margin line by selecting the option from the workflow at the bottom of the screen. While not mandatory, setting the margin line can greatly improve your communication with the lab.

Lunch & Learn with UR Eastman Dental Residents

Connecting to the Community

Thursday, July 28th, Arieno Dental Laboratory attended a Lunch & Learn at UR Eastman Dental and spoke with residents about the lab, our capabilities and case expectations. We have been working with Eastman Dental for over 30 years, and enjoy speaking and interacting with the residents.

Key speakers Steve Arieno and Karen Arieno spoke thoughtfully on the different departments; We came prepared with an impactful presentation, filled with photographs showcasing our abilities, and passed out folders jam packed with information, topping it all off with delicious pizza (which the residents were very excited for).

After the presentation residents steadily came to speak with Steve and Karen with questions or just hoping to gain insight on how a problem they were having could be resolved.

Arieno Dental Lab rolled out with a new campaign in July called SMILE.

SMILE is a monthly raffle to collect photographs of our work, with the winner receiving a $50 gift certificate. No photo will be used on our website or social media without the patients written permission, we are hoping to gather a collection of photographs submitted by patients, showing off their fabricated tooth/teeth for our portfolio. To be entered in to the raffle is super easy - patients send us a photo of their fabricated tooth/teeth by Arieno and they are automatically entered in to the drawing.

Read more about the campaign here! If you would like brochures, please reach out to Beth at the lab.

All Ceramic Crowns:

When restoring teeth with all-ceramic crowns, it is important to give the lab the color of the stump. If you do not have a stump shade guide, you can use the back of a Vita shade guide, or send photos. If you are covering a non-vital (black or dark) stump, it will show through the final restoration. The lab will make correction for this or suggest a different solution.
