November 2022 | Issue #7
Gobble Gobble - November is here. This month we fall back - remember to turn your clocks back one hour on Sunday, November 6th.
The lab will be closed on Thursday the 24th and Friday the 25th for Thanksgiving. We hope everyone is able to spend some time with those they are thankful for, and reflect on the many blessings that enrich our lives.

Coming Up in December
Arieno Dental will be closed December 23rd and 26th for the Holidays.

Bowling Night
Some of the gang got together after work a couple weeks back, and stopped over at L&M Lanes for some bowling shenanigans.
It was a lot of fun, the clear winners of the evening being Kyle from our CAD/CAM department, and Max from our Crown & Bridge department. Next month we are looking to try our luck at ax throwing!
Congratulations
Thirty Year
Steve Arieno just received his 30 year CDT certificate and pin from NADL (the National Association of Dental Laboratories).
Lots of hard work and dedication went in to these last thirty years - and the knowledge keeps growing everyday.
Symposium
Friday, October 21st, Steve traveled to Oral and Implant Surgery of the Southern Tier in Corning to lead a symposium on dental restoration related topics such as- the pros and cons of cement vs screw retained abutments, abutment materials, the differences between bone level and tissue level abutments, and more.
The attending surgeons brought cases in with them that they were having issues with (or questions on), and it turned in to a great hands on experience with everyone getting involved. We teamed up with Straumann for this opportunity and look forward to more occasions like this one in the future.
LUNCH AND LEARN
Elmwood Dental
We visited with some of Elmwood Dental's Doctors and their assistants in October for a Lunch & Learn. We answered questions on various issues, and discussed ways we could improve processes here at the lab.
We enjoyed putting faces to the names of the people we interact with often, and developing our relationship with this amazing practice.
During the meeting we discussed a need for our current printed scripts to be available digitally as a fillable form, so look out for that online form shortly!
